Wedding
Someone is lucky, or should I say the Malaysia Government under the current leadership of Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is indeed very very lucky!
Had it been in any other country, this Cabinet Administration would have been left with either the choice to tender public apology and resign in mass, or face riot any civil commotions already.
Malaysians being Malaysians; blessed and enriched by the 600 years of human life treasures, cultural heritage and historical evident left behind by the Melaka's Malay Sultanate in the 15th century and thereafter Portuguese, the Dutch and the British Colonials; are indeed very rational, civilized, religion & racial-sensitive lot.
To the people of Malaysia in general, peace and harmony in diversity; patience, tolerance and negotiations towards unity has always been instilled as part and parcel of our Malaysian culture that we would never thrive on others misfortunes or calamities; let alone our very own.
However, the recent blunt, direct to the point and bravery, or should I say the professionalism shown by the current Auditor-General Tan Seri Amrin Buang is indeed the most noble and notable present to the RAKYAT of Malaysia; on our recent Malaysia's Golden Jubilee of Independence; Merdeka celebrated on the 31st August 2007.
Looking back, we, Malaysians had indeed came a long way ever since the glorious days of the Malay Sultanate of Melaka in the 15th century; with territories stretching from Peninsular Malaya to neighboring states of Palembang, Jambi, Lingga, Tungkal, Pasai, Inderagiri, Siak ( all in the region of Sumatra Island), Pulau Bentam, Sungai Ujong and Singapore.
Several hundred years of living under the colonial rulings; namely Portuguese (1511-1641); the Dutch (1641-1824) and the British (1824-1957) had not dampened our spirit of patriotism but instead made us proud, strong and ever determined peace-loving peoples of different ethnic, origins, religions and believes. It'd even made us closer to one another to face this undulating world of the 21st century. The brutalities of the Japanese Armies during the WWII had consolidated all Malaysians further to be united with wisdom to face our common enemies from within and without.
Rarely were Malaysians swayed in thoughts and believes with ulterior motives to cause harms and kiosks with behavior and attitude alike innocent kids playing with candles where this moment it could bring brightness to the darkness of nights with best of meals and next it could burn our very own home down to ashes.
Nevertheless, the permission to hold the torch shall not be misconstrued as a perpetual consent to prepare, cook and serve food even from corrupted sources with rotten ingredients.
As a peace-loving Malaysian; I sincerely appeal to those Heads of Departments of various public sectors mentioned by Tan Seri Armin Buang, be it divisional, regional, state or even national level to tender their respective resignations, with honors if you so possess; for not being on top of the situations over all these mismanagements; say since 2005 - same old story year in year out, as alleged by our dignified Auditor-General Tan Seri Amrin Buang on pg. 12 Prime News of New Straits Times dated Wed, Sept 12, 2007; before its too late for repent.
Never ever let your own 'so called' oversights of these serious mismanagements of allocations and RAKYAT's funds should you dared say, entrusted to you, as our administrator be excuses and alibis for your continuous quest for political mileage no more. Worst still should you pass the bugs to your predecessor or someone down the line further! Resign now before you cause Barisan National's, the collision that ruled the nation since independence to eventual downfall! Our RAKYAT's eyes were wide open; they're not blinded by your lame alibis and sweet talks anymore!
Having said that, henceforth what steps or action plans shall be endorsed and implemented to further reduced, if not total eradication of these series of mismanagements?
An independent body, alike if not 100% duplication of Hong Kong's ICAC, whom reports directly to the parliament and our Agong i.e. Head of State. This independent body shall be held responsible and accountable for the integrity and trust-worthiness of our public servants.Transparencies on all public tenders and expenditure of allocations to the people by these public servants for the people by the people! All public servants to submit and declare in detail his/her yearly assets and liabilities to the people including but not limiting to their relatives. All public servants are barred from holding portfolios in any social, associational, sports and business organizations. In the event of a dead-lock situation on matters pertaining to national unity, seek Agong's advice or a public referendum can be considered if circumstances so warrant. All the abovementioned data should be readily available via the internet.Last but not least, I was relieved that all these mismanagements surfaced after achieving 50 years of our independence; for they say "better late than never." Rather than to have them sunk to the bottom of the deep blue sea and be salvaged as artifacts of once a glorious Kingdom of the Great 15th century Malay Sultanate of the only known Malay Archipelago.
Dedicated to the majority of the peace-loving inhabitants of Malaysia, towards many more Golden Jubilees in years to come!
